WHAT IS IT?
A high-speed, low-latency satellite internet service developed by SpaceX which uses a large cluster of small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide global internet coverage. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?
A key difference between Starlink and traditional satellite internet is their orbital altitude and the resulting latency. Starlink uses a cluster of thousands of satellites in a much closer low Earth orbit (LEO) which significantly reduces the travel distance for data. This results in much lower latency making it suitable for high-data activities like streaming, online gaming, and video calls. Most traditional satellite internet services rely on a single geostationary satellite orbiting the earth, which causes high round-trip data time.  This high latency makes real-time, high-data-rate applications nearly impossible to support.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO? 
You will need to order your Starlink Kit from the Starlink website before contacting us. Once you've received your Starlink Kit ring us on 087 912 1447 to arrange a date and time for installation. The kit should include a Starlink sattelite dish and a wifi router.  While Starlink offers unlimited data on most residential plans, it requires a clear view of the sky to function effectively.

INSTALLATION
There are different ways to install your Starlink device depending on your property.  The dish will need to be fitted to the outside of your property. A separate bracket is required to mount the dish which the Starlink Kit does not include. We will supply the bracket which is covered in our installation price.  The engineer will then need to drill a hole in the wall to run the cable from the dish to the new Wi-Fi router. 

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? 
The cost for installation is €350.00 which includes additional hardware i.e. bracket and cable.
